Final Fantasy 7: Revelation Won't Be a Console Exclusive on Launch

At Summer Game Fest 2022, we saw the world premiere of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Now, four years later, we have the world premiere of the conclusion of the Final Fantasy 7 trilogy.

After the game’s initial tease at the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo as a tech demo for the PlayStation 3, a modern-day Final Fantasy 7 remake jumped to the top of every JRPG fan’s wishlist.

That day finally came in 2020 with the then-exclusive PlayStation 4 game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake. There was just one problem: it was actually a remake of the game’s first five or so hours stretched razor thin. There were also hints of a changing timeline, with many wondering if we’d see the story change. Fans were a little anxious, to put it lightly. Thankfully, Rebirth hit the mark in 2024, and immediately left people wondering: when would the story conclude?

After several updates as of late, we finally have the concrete news we’ve been waiting for: Final Fantasy 7: Revelation will conclude the remake trilogy, release in Spring 2027, and be available on all platforms at launch.
