Less than a day after Paramount Pictures announced the creation of their dedicated gaming division, Paramount Games Studio, the new studio has unveiled one of their earliest and arguably most exciting games yet with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.
Developed by Platinum Games, the Japanese developer famous for the Bayonetta series, The Last Ronin is an AAA action-adventure game based directly on the critically acclaimed 2020 IDW comic book of the same name written by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird as well as veteran TMNT writer Tom Waltz.
While The Last Ronin game was originally announced to be in development in 2023, about a year after the final issue of The Last Ronin's first series released, its appearance at the 2026 Summer Games Fest marks its first proper appearance after some rocky behind the scenes issues.
