After years of speculation, Atlus finally announced Persona 6 during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. Unfortunately, the company dropped the ball, with a short trailer that seemed more akin to a horror game than the Persona that fans were expecting.
Persona 5 launched back in 2016 in Japan, releasing a year later worldwide. This was the game that propelled the franchise to mainstream attention, with countless crossovers, and even its protagonist representing the series in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The game will receive an updated release in 2020, called Persona 5 Royal, but fans have been eager to see what Atlus has been cooking for the next entry in the franchise.
