While discussing the recent reveal of a new Spyro the Dragon game and Xbox's treatment of Activision's classic lineup, VGC's Jordan Middler has heavily hinted that a remake of The Simpsons: Hit & Run is "happening".

Love them or hate them, remakes and remasters have become a massive part of the gaming industry, with tons of developers and publishers diving into their back-catalogue to revisit older games and hopefully bring in their audiences. There's one game that pretty much everyone goes to as their first pick to get a remake, though - The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

Since its release in 2003, Hit & Run has had a reputation for being one of the best licensed games out there, and even if The Simpsons itself has lost some of its lustre over the years, Hit & Run has always remained top of the list of fan requests. That dream might not be as far-fetched as we all assumed, though, as a reliable insider has suggested that it's actually happening.
