This all stems from the World of Darkness, which is a shared tabletop RPG universe, where monsters such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts live in secret among humanity, and has been a favorite of gamers for decades.
While gamers were left disappointed by Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, it seems that the franchise could be back on track. It was revealed at the PC Gaming Show that Vampire: The Masquerade - Eternal Whispers is on the way, one that's heavily inspired by CRPGs like Disco Elysium, where dialogue and decisions are more important than overpowered builds.
