At the end of 2023, Sega teased the return of some of its biggest, but dormant, IPs. One of those IPs was Crazy Taxi. It's taken a while, but we finally know when that Crazy Taxi revival is coming as Sega finally followed up on its promise at the Xbox Games Showcase.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is real, and it's launching next year. The reveal trailer will be very familiar to fans of the original game, with The Offspring blasting through the speakers as the player crashes through the city.
As my hope began to build for a Crazy Taxi reveal after the series' X account was revived out of nowhere a few weeks ago, all I asked was that the first thing I heard when that trailer hit was The Offspring's All I Want. Crazy Taxi wouldn't be Crazy Taxi without it, and sure enough, "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah" opened proceedings and undoubtedly triggered countless 30-somethings around the world.
This will be revival number two for Sega after Joe Mushashi returned to the limelight last year via the fantastic Shinobi: Art Of Vengeance. If this new entry in the Crazy Taxi series is on the same level...
