Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass Adds New Area And Dive Move

During today's Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Pokopia received a couple of announcements courtesy of Nintendo and Omega Force.

First, a free software update is incoming that will allow you to dive underwater without drowning. This will be done through a new Dive move that conjures an air bubble around Ditto's head to allow them to freely traverse beneath the waves. This update will arrive in August 2026.

Also announced was an Expansion Pass, which will be available to pre-order later today. The first of three expansions is called Bubbly Basin and will introduce a new underwater area to Pokémon Pokopia.

Though the Expansion Pass is now available to pre-order, Bubbly Basin won't be introduced until August 2026, presumably alongside the introduction of Dive.

Part 2 of the Expansion Pass will add additional new features and is set to arrive in late 2026. The third and final part of the Expansion Pass will add a new town and is set to release in 2027.

Those who purchase the Expansion Pass will receive a Ditto print and 30 Rare Pokémetals. The final shot of the trailer featured a Manaphy swimming across the screen; surely a tease of the new area's underlying...
