The big closer in Tuesday's Nintendo Direct might have been the Ocarina of Time remake, but a lot of you were more excited about being shown our first look in years at Kingdom Hearts 4. The only down side is there was still no release date attached.
The first new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4 since 2022 came after the reveal that collections that will allow Kingdom Hearts fans to play through the whole series are coming to Nintendo Switch 2. It's retail listings for those collections that have given us our best indicator yet of when exactly we might be able to finally play through the next chapter in Sora's story.
Spotted by Kingdom Hearts Insider, two Australian retailers using the same, seemingly officially written, product descriptions for the Kingdom Hearts 1-3 Collection mention Kingdom Hearts 4 releasing in 2027. "Play through the full Kingdom Hearts series in one comprehensive package before the release of Kingdom Hearts 4 in 2027," a section towards the end of the product listing reads.
In fact, we've had a full game release and another one get announced without even getting a second trailer for KH4.
