Nintendo's latest Direct helped fill out the rest of its 2026, just as Switch 2 owners were starting to worry. It didn't go so far as to reveal what it will be putting on its latest console during the final two months of the year, though it appeared to reveal and show a little more of what those games are going to be.
Nintendo tends to release one first-party game per month. It has been keeping up that steady cadence throughout the Switch 2's first year and has demonstrated that it plans to continue that trend throughout the rest of 2026. Star Fox this month, Splatoon Raiders in July, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave in September, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort in October.
There's a gap in August for now, I know. We'll get to that.
It didn't go as far as to say what game it will be releasing in November, even though I'm pretty sure we were shown it.
