We just got our first uninterrupted Fable gameplay demo, showing off social sim elements and even a quick look at combat.
Much like the original trilogy, Fable will let you manage business, own property, marry townsfolk, and go on mindless murder sprees. However, all of this has been explored in much more depth this time around, with a more complex morality system and a more hands-on approach to running the businesses you pick up.
The gameplay demo starts off with the Hero of Briar Hill entering the farming town of Silverbrook. Here, they decide on the fate of a talking pig, give some money to a beggar, hit on a merchant, and buy a pub. Sure, all of these things (minus saving a talking pig) were possible in the previous games, but now, all of this is expanded upon.
For starters, personality traits for NPCs are back, but it isn't enough to just do a bunch of emotes in front of someone to get them to like you.
