Final Fantasy 14's Download Festival Merch Is Getting Accused Of Being AI-Generated

For people that have been lucky enough to grab tickets, many people will be descending upon Derby in the United Kingdom this weekend for Download Festival, the country's biggest rock music festival. There will probably be quite a number of Final Fantasy 14 fans among those people too, what with The Primals making an appearance for the first time.

To mark the occasion, Final Fantasy 14 has gone all out, designing merch and setting up booths for the game during the show, eager to capitalize on The Primals going to the UK for the first time in quite a while. Unfortunately, the show hs been slightly overshadowed for a lot of people thanks to how sketchy some of the illustrations and merch made for Download actually looks.

Square Enix has posted a number of illustrations to social media over the past couple of weeks, depicting various Scions like Yshtola, Estinien, and Alisaie dressed up in punk outfits. They look very cool, but almost immediately, they were descended upon and closely analyzed as some believed AI had been used to make them.
