Summer Games Fest was a pretty wild one this year, showing off countless amazing games and projects. It also had a couple of weird moments, such as Jigsaw rolling onto the stage on a tricycle, a guy in a purple Among Us suit, and the reveal that deceased rapper Tupac has been brought back from the dead to play a character in Stranger Than Heaven.
When it comes to a casting that bizarre, you know that there's probably a story behind it, but Tupac's inclusion in Stranger Than Heaven was simply a case of somebody asking for it.
Before last week's reveal, we all knew that Snoop Dogg would be playing a character in Stranger Than Heaven called Orpheus, which was a pretty bizarre casting in itself. However, things got Tupac levels of bizarre when RGG Studios decided to ask Snoop himself who he'd like to see cast as a character that was close to his character, Orpheus.
This is according to RGG Studio head Masayoshi Yokoyama in an interview with GameSpot, who claims that the decision to put Tupac in the game came from Snoop Dogg himself, rather than something RGG did off its own back.
