Paralives is a hit with simulation fans, particularly those who are burnt out from The Sims 4. While the game is still in early access, it has all the ingredients to make this work long-term, including a thriving modding community.
We've already covered some of what this modding community is getting up to - mostly because a lot of the more popular mods are NSFW - but we're now seeing some truly expansive overhauls enter development. In fact, one player has already got splitscreen multiplayer up and running, in case you want to play Paralives with a friend.
ParaSplit - Splitscreen Multiplayer by Nexus Mods user MarcusDavis2012 splits the screen down the middle, and lets you and a friend control different Paras in the same household. That means you'll have to agree on what lot you're playing in and the kind of family you're building, but that's a small price to pay for unofficial multiplayer.
