New Ghost Recon And Far Cry 7 Are Reportedly Having Trouble, Development Suffering From "Unrealistic Deadlines"

Ubisoft's unannounced Ghost Recon game and Far Cry 7 are reportedly running into development issues, with devs "bracing for impact" due to the impact of management changes.

The surprisingly excellent reveal of Rayman Legends Retold and the similarly exciting Assassin's Creed Black Flag: Resynced might have made you think that Ubisoft is over the development woes that it suffered earlier in the year (RIP, Prince of Persia), but that isn't entirely the case. Some of their upcoming projects have been in the works for some time, with little to show for it outside of reports.

Take the unannounced next Ghost Recon game, for example, which has been reported on for quite some time now but has yet to be officially announced. There's also Far Cry 7, which also hasn't been formally unveiled but has had plenty of reports, with one even recently claiming it was being used to test generative AI. Now, it's being reported that both games are really struggling through their development.
