PlayStation gave us an extended look at God of War Laufey earlier this month during its reveal at State of Play, but stopped short of announcing a release window, only teasing that it was "in development."
However, according to reputable leaker NateTheHate, the game could launch as soon as next year.
"Last I heard the target was first half [of] 2027," he said on X. "Could change but that was a hope at one point."
Likewise, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier claimed shortly after the announcement that God of War Laufey wasn't "years away," and that fans shouldn't read too much into the lack of a release window.
"In contrast to a lot of other big announcements, this one *isn't* years away," he said.
Of course, as Sony hasn't officially announced a release window, the game could slip past internal targets, so it's worth taking 'early 2027' with a grain of salt.
"Both could potentially be in [the] first half [of] 2027," NateTheHate said in a follow-up reply to a fan asking whether Until Dawn 2 or God of War Laufey would launch first. "But timelines could shift, as nothing is set in stone at this stage."
2027 is already...
