The director behind the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, Naoki Hamaguchi, knows everyone wants him to make a Final Fantasy 6 remake, but thinks the project would be in "better hands" with another developer.

For a long time, one of the most requested gaming remakes was undeniably Final Fantasy 7, with Square Enix constantly teasing the possibility of bringing Cloud back in a big way. What once seemed impossible has since turned into a huge remake project spanning three games that has been in the works for nearly a decade.

Now that we're approaching the end of the remake trilogy with next year's Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, everyone is wondering what the game's team, helmed by director Naoki Hamaguchi, is going to do next. Many want him to move on to another Final Fantasy remake, especially FF6, but he thinks that's something better left to another developer.

As pointed out by GamesRadar+, Game Informer recently spoke to Naoki Hamaguchi following the announcement of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Unlike other interviews focusing on the game itself, however, Game Informer actually asked Hamaguchi about what awaits him when the remake trilogy is finally finished.
