Assassin's Creed Shadows Will Get Its Last Expansion Tomorrow

Roughly three months after Assassin's Creed Shadows celebrated its one-year anniversary, the Sengoku period Japan-set Assassin's Creed title will receive its final major update for free on all platforms on Tuesday, June 16th.

This comes less than a month before Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a modern remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, debuts on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles on Thursday, July 9th.

While this final update may be bittersweet for fans of Naoe and Yasuke, especially after several other expansions were canceled, this expansion will send Shadows out with a bang as it will feature a climatic story drop, a new PvE mode, and a treasure trove of new cosmetics and weapons that tie into AC games new and old.

Naoe and Yasuke's Conclusion in Black Tides

The most prominent aspect of Assassin's Creed Shadows' Title Update 1.1.11 is the Black Tides story drop, which sees two elite-ranking Black Cross Templars, Sir Eamon Hathaway and Nirmala of Java, dispatched to Japan to eliminate Naoe and Yasuke and search for Isu artifacts and the Observatory.
