Mortal Kombat 1 Brings Back MKX's Version Of Takeda

Mortal Kombat 1 might feature a brand-new version of Takeda thanks to Liu Kang's new timeline, but the MKX iteration we all know and love does appear in mirror matches.

Although most Mortal Kombat fans likely have their eyes set on the recently revealed Khaos Reigns (which has seen a fairly mixed response so far), those of us with good taste are still focusing on the best DLC character - Takeda Takahashi from Mortal Kombat X. Takeda is one of the series' most popular newcomers, and he's finally back in action after missing out on Mortal Kombat 11.

Omni-Man and Homelander seem too similar for one Kombat Pack, but after playing Omni-Man, I'm convinced they'll be nothing alike.

There is one big caveat, though. As the leaks suggested prior to any of Kombat Pack 1's characters even being released, this version of Takeda is a little different than he was in Mortal Kombat X. In Liu Kang's new timeline, he's Kenshi's cousin instead of his son and originally started out as a yakuza member instead of the loveable yet cocky hero we got to know in MKX.
