Ubisoft+ Announces Free Trial Until June 23, Making 19 Assassin's Creed Games Free Just In Time For Black Flag

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced arrives next month on July 9, and ahead of its launch, Ubisoft+ is hosting a free trial from June 18–23, giving you a chance to sample its library – including premium editions and DLC.

The standout of this promotion (as noted by Screen Rant) is that 19 different Assassin's Creed games are available on the service, from the 2007 original that introduced players to Altaïr and the now-iconic Templar conflict to Shadows, the dual-protagonist entry set during the chaotic twilight of feudal Japan.

The trial only lasts five days, so I wouldn't recommend jumping into any of the RPG games given the sheer scope of their open worlds. You might also be tempted to take a leap of faith into Assassin's Creed 3 or Rogue to learn more about the Kenway saga before meeting the swashbuckling Edward Kenway in Black Flag, but since both games take place after his story, they are heavy with spoilers if you haven't played the games before. Not to mention that AC3 serves as the end of Desmond's saga, which can be a little confusing if you haven't played the previous entries.
