Call Of Duty: Black Ops Official PS5 Port Post Already Has More Likes Than Modern Warfare 4 Reveal

After weeks of rumors, it has now been officially confirmed that the first two Call of Duty: Black Ops games are coming to PS5. Maybe not big news to those of you eagerly awaiting the next game in the CoD series, but based on reactions to the PS5 port news, you're the ones in the minority.

Treyarch, the leading Call of Duty studio on the Black Ops series, confirmed the good news on Wednesday. "It's official: the original Black Ops and Black Ops 2 are being ported to PlayStation in July," the post reads, adding that fellow studio Iron Galaxy has helped make it happen.

Iron Galaxy specializes in remasters, remakes, and ports. It has previously worked on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, the remake and remaster of The Last of Us games, and Metroid Prime Remastered.

Confirmation that the Black Ops PS5 port rumors were true has gone down incredibly well with Treyarch's post picking up almost 140,000 likes in less than 12 hours.
