Pokemon Pokopia's Popular Time Traveling Loophole Appears To Have Been Patched

Pokemon Pokopia players have been fiddling with the internal clocks on their Switch 2 consoles to fool the game into thinking it's time for events to go live early. Well, it seems like the fun's over. Pokopia's next event has been announced, and it doesn't look like we'll be able to get to it until The Pokemon Company wants us to.

Each new event in Pokopia brings a new Pokemon along with it. Announced this morning, the hit Pokemon game's next event is called Wish Upon A Jirachi and, as you may have already guessed, it will add Jirachi to Pokopia's growing Pokedex.

The event will begin at 5 am local time on June 23, 2026, and run until 04:59 am local time on July 8. That would have prompted Pokopia players around the world to grab their Switch 2s this morning and skip the console's calendar to any time between those two dates to get their Jirachi early.

But that is seemingly no longer possible. Spotted by Serebii's Joe Merrick, Pokopia's popular time-traveling exploit appears to have been patched. An update to Pokopia has added an online connectivity requirement. On the surface, it looks like the only reason...
