But fans are determined to reverse course. Every single showcase during Summer Game Fest was inundated with calls for Destiny 3, while the game hit an impressive peak of 160,000 players on June 10 — and continues to cling onto Steam's top 15 most-played games.
Players have one message for Sony: Destiny isn't dead. Interest waned over the last year with middling content drop after middling content drop, sure, but fans want the game to get better, and are now clamoring for a sequel to revitalize the franchise.
