Custom Baldur's Gate 3 Campaign Path To Menzoberranzan Shares New Look At Demo

Larian Studios might have moved onto Divinity, but that doesn't mean the DM has packed up on Baldur's Gate 3. With official mod support rolled out in 2024, the community is now holding the dice, and there are some ambitious projects in the works — like Path to Menzoberranzan, a fully-fledged custom campaign taking players to the titular drow city, complete with a return to Athkatla from Baldur's Gate 2.

The team announced in March that they were planning to launch a demo later this year, and while there's still no word on when exactly we can expect to delve back into the Underdark, they just posted an update to Discord and Bluesky, teasing that we might get our hands on it "quite soon."

"Happy almost-summer," the announcement reads. "We have a lot of progress to share. Environmental design for our tutorial is nearing completion; just final touch-ups and lighting to go.
