Fans have heard similar statements before, thanks to countless sad Twitter/X posts from developers announcing last-minute delays, due to their game needing more polish before it's ready for release.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026, and it seems the developers are locking in on that date. According to an announcement on the Rockstar Games Instagram account, the pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 will go live on June 25, 2026. Both the physical and digital versions of the game will be up for pre-order across various retailers, none of which were named.
