It hasn't been entirely clear how well Saros has performed on the sales front since PlayStation is yet to share official figures. However, estimates suggest that despite being newer than almost every other PlayStation game available, its sales have been lagging behind its in-house competitors this year.
Saros's sales estimates so far come courtesy of Alinea Analytics. Although admittedly not accurate, the formula Alinea uses is a trusted one and historically tends to come pretty darn close to the actual numbers once those numbers have been officially revealed.
According to Alinea, Saros has sold roughly 415,000 copies since it launched earlier this year. It's one of two PlayStation-published games on the list to have released this year, the other being MLB The Show 26, which has sold 756,000 copies so far this year. A game in a sports sim series with regular releases, so expected to sell better than the single-player story game, Saros.
No mention of Marathon or God of War Sons of Sparta, which might mean they failed to sell more than Saros has sold so far. The numbers are PS5-only, though, so don't include Marathon's PC and Xbox sale.
