Dragon Age: The Veilguard Will Bring Back "Loved Characters"

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will see the return of "loved characters", as BioWare promises some "sneaky surprises".

This comes from an interview with Dragon Age: The Veilguard's creative director, John Epler, and the creative performance director, Ashley Barlow. Speaking with TheGamer staff writer Gabrielle Castania, Barlow touches on the topic of returning characters, confirming that fans will see some popular familiar faces.

"[There's] so many new characters," says Barlow. "I mean, we have some sneaky surprises of returning, loved characters. But that's the big thing, we have 700 unique characters to talk to."

Epler also touched on this in the interview, when asked if he was excited about a particular returning companion.

"We're going to leave that to people to play the game," says Epler. "Obviously, there's Scout Harding who's back, but other characters coming back. I'm excited for people to see them and especially see them in the context of having ten years pass since the last Dragon Age, both in the real world, but also in the world of Thedas."
