God of War Laufey has been a long time coming, as Deborah Ann Woll reveals that she's known that the game would happen since 2018. In fact, the version of the game she was pitched appears to be pretty faithful to the final product, as she recalls seeing a poster depicting both Faye and Phranque, the cube.

Speaking at a Game Con Canada panel attended by CGMagazine, Woll was asked about her starring role in the next God of War game. Here, we got a few more details, including a better idea of just how long God of War Laufey has been on the developer's mind.

"I’ve known about this for nearly ten years, and I haven’t been able to talk about it," Woll told the crowd at Game Con Canada. "[Cory Barlog] pitched it to me in 2018, and they had known about it before then. It’s wild."
