Bad news for subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online. It looks like all tiers of NSO subscriptions will be increasing next month, after the company just recently announced the price of a Switch 2 is going up in September. The full scope of these changes isn't quite known yet, but it'll likely impact all regions before the year's end.

The announcement was made via the official X account for Nintendo, with more details shared over on Nintendo.com. This includes new listed prices for all tiers on NSO. The new plans will begin on July 1, 2026, offering members about a week to prepare for the changes. You can read the post below:

The catch, at least for now, is that the NSO price increase has only been confirmed through Nintendo's Japanese storefront. Currently, there's been no mention of it by Nintendo of America, so if you're in the U.S., this doesn't affect you yet. The caveat here is that if Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions go up in price in one country, they are almost definitely going up in other regions too.
