Rockstar Games and PlayStation have confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 "plays best" on PS5 and PS5 Pro, with the two teaming up to make the most out of the console's "innovative features".
Ever since GTA 6 was first revealed, it was pretty clear to all of us that Rockstar and PlayStation had some kind of marketing deal going on. The second trailer for the game was put together exclusively with PS5 footage, and PlayStation was even urging GTA 5 players on PS4 to upgrade to the current-gen in time for November.
All of this has suggested that PS5 is likely going to be the best place to play GTA 6, at least until it eventually launches on PC. That's no longer just a very educated guess, though, as PlayStation and Rockstar have come right out and said it in a new post outlining some of the features available when you play on a base PS5 or Pro.
