On Friday, NetherRealm revealed our first look at Mortal Kombat 1's second Kombat Pack, introducing Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, and T1000, along with the revamped Noob Saibot, Sektor, and Cyrax. It also comes with an Aftermath-like story expansion called Khaos Reigns, all wrapped up under a $59.99 price tag.
"It's like the epitome of 'meh' for me."
But with how much backlash Mortal Kombat 1 has faced since it launched last year over its expensive microtransactions, Invasions mode, grind-y XP, lacklustre gear system, and myriad other issues, not everyone is ready to throw another 60 bucks at the game.
"Based on the current state of the game... I don't think DLC should cost $60," wrote one Reddit user. "$50 on top of a $100 game that's pretty lacking sucks."
Going by the over 2,000 upvotes, it's clear that this is a popular sentiment. A quick glance at the highest-voted comments only further drives that narrative home.
