GTA 6 pre-orders are now live, and when details about its price and edition exclusives were revealed on Wednesday, it's all anyone in the gaming world has been talking about. Including an ad where PlayStation boldly claims GTA 6 "plays best on PS5".
Quite the dunk on Xbox, and there was a brief period late yesterday where it seemed as if PlayStation might have overstepped the mark by claiming GTA 6 will play better on PS5 than Series X, even if it might be true. The ads disappeared, which prompted many, myself included, to think that Rockstar had been in touch and asked for the promo image to be tweaked.
That may well have happened, but not because the studio is concerned about upsetting anyone at Xbox. The ads have now returned to the internet with a couple of tweaks, but they still feature the bold claim that GTA 6 "plays best on PS5". The image now features a bolder version of the GTA 6 logo, but more importantly, a different type of PS5.
