Xbox Console Prices Raising By $100+, 2TB Model Sunsetting | TechRaptor

If the recently announced cost of the Steam Machines gobsmacked you, well Microsoft has decided to make its living room entertainment offerings more expensive in the near future. The Xbox Series X and S have their price getting hiked by a minimum of $100 depending on the memory of the device.

Interestingly, Microsoft is not making differentiation between the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S for how much the price is being increased, as the price increases coming in effect August 1 follow a simple pattern based on the size of the SSD.

This is the third announced price increase in the last 13 months for the Xbox Series consoles. In May 2025, they raised the price of $380 or $430 for Xbox Series S versions of 512 GB and 1 TB sizes respectively, while Xbox Series X went to $550 for the digital version and $600 for the version with a disc drive. Then effective October 3 last Fall, they raised the price another $20 for Xbox Series S, while raising the Xbox Series X All Digital to $599, the version with a digital drive to $649, and the 2TB Xbox Series X version to $799....
