BioWare has revealed that the script for Dragon Age: The Veilguard contains about 140,000 lines of recorded dialogue, surpassing the 88,000 lines of Dragon Age: Inquisition, which was already considered BioWare's most verbose game to date. According to the developer, the cast has been working on Dragon Age: The Veilguard for five years, and recording the script takes a lot of time.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard began development shortly after Dragon Age: Inquisition's release in 2014 and has gone through several reboots along the way. One of the original ideas was to include more multiplayer elements in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but those were eventually scrapped. Now, with a release closer than ever, slated for fall 2024, the game is revealing new details about its gameplay, narrative, and universe, including the main cast of characters.

Combat has always changed between Dragon Age games, but recent comments by a developer makes Dragon Age: The Veilguard's feel more dire.
