Capcom's plans for the ever-iconic Resident Evil series have been leaked to death at this point, but just when it seemed like there couldn't be any more rumors to dissect for the series, a recent update on Capcom's future plans for Resident Evil has players even more excited than before. Although the update doesn't bring too many revelations for the series, it will help provide a brand-new perspective on some of the series' most popular entries.

One of the most confusing aspects of the Resident Evil series is how the original games and the remakes tie into each other, with more than a few inconsistencies or unanswered threads across the franchise. Fortunately, Capcom is supposedly working on correcting them far sooner than players expected, according to a recent leak.

According to frequent Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem on ResetEra, Capcom is planning on updating certain parts of the story in the upcoming Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil: 0 remakes to tie more closely into the chronological order of the series (as shared by Connect_Base_217 on Reddit). Most notably, Dusk Golem claims that they'll connect to the story and characters in Resident Evil Requiem.
