Critic Reviews for Resident Evil 6
As expected, Resident Evil 6 — four years after its original release — remains one of the series’ most underbaked, underdeveloped and downright unappealing entries in a franchise that has claimed far greater heights in terms of gameplay and presentation.
If you’re after a straight-up action shooter, you could do a lot worse than Resident Evil 6, but if you’re looking for an experience similar to the earlier games in the series, then you definitely won’t find that here.
The same game that we played a few years ago on old-gen consoles, but adapted to modern day hardware and with a lot of extra content. This one may not be the best RE out there, but it's still enjoyable.

Resident Evil 6 is an ambitious game, but it does not recover the essence of the first titles of the saga by building a plot that is too complex and somewhat excessive. However, it is a very entertaining title that on PS4 and Xbox One looks perfect.

It is true that the script is not novel, nor surprising, that it is a fairly linear adventure and there are campaigns that stand out from others, but for the price at which it is it is a good opportunity to enter a saga that we doubt will be as it was in the past. Therefore, you have to get used to this form of game, since Capcom will bet on this line (it sold quite well, despite the criticism) and will leave the most classic form of game to other deliveries such as the Revelations subsaga. Therefore, if you manage to overlook the loss of the survival horror component, you will find a very good adventure.

As in previous versions, Resident Evil 6 is a game that you can love or hate, depending on what you expect. If you're looking for classical survival, you won't find it here... but if you are looking for mindless action movie full of content, you will like it. The Switch port is at least very good: it looks and moves like a charm.

The same linear, patronisingly simplistic time waster it always was, but if you really must have a remaster of Resident Evil 6 this isn’t a bad job.
It’s not enough to say that Resident Evil 6 is poor as a Resident Evil game. That alone implies there could be a quality experience if fans can get past their preconceptions and feelings of betrayal. No, Resident Evil 6 is poor by the standards of any game, not just the high ones set by its own legacy.
