Capcom has announced that physical editions of three Resident Evil PlayStation 5 ports - Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard - will be released this winter. Brought to the PS5 throughout 2022, these Resident Evil ports saw some large improvements on Sony's flagship console.
Following the release of the games on current consoles in the summer of 2022, players who had snagged Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, or Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One were able to upgrade to the game's PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S versions at no additional cost. In April, physical copies of the Resident Evil PS5 ports were briefly spotted on a Romanian website with a July release window. While the date turned out to be misleading, Capcom has confirmed that physical editions of these popular survival horror titles are on the way in the coming months.
These Resident Evil characters were grossly underused and underdeveloped, and they deserve better than to become has-beens.
