Microsoft "Actively" Working On Solution To MT Framework Issue, Insider Says

When Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics launches at some point in 2024, it'll do so not on Xbox. Instead, it'll seemingly be exclusive to PlayStation, PC and Switch. That is despite Marvel vs. Capcom having a rather storied history on Microsoft's flagship home console.

However, the skip is not related to any sort of exclusivity deal. No. It's apparently related to a technological issue involving Capcom's MT Framework engine. According to previous reporting, the MT Framework engine that Capcom uses is not the easiest to port over to Xbox's ERA system. It's actually an expensive process, which is part of the reason why the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom collection, along with other similar Capcom collections, have not made their way to Xbox.

That said, it appears that Microsoft is well aware of the issue, and is actively looking into it in order to rectify things. That is if information from reliable insider Jez Corden is to be believed.

In an episode of Corden's Xbox Two podcast, the reliable insider revealed that Microsoft is aware of the ongoing MT Framework issues. In it, Corden said the following when discussing the upcoming fighting game package:
