Scooby-Doo Voice Actor Seemingly Teases New Game

Everyone's favorite sandwich-eating anthropomorphic dog might be returning to the world of video games. No, we're not talking about PaRappa the Rapper. We're talking about Scooby-Doo and his band of friends.

According to Matthew Lillard, who has been the longtime voice of Shaggy, Scooby's partner-in-crime, he's currently working on a new Scooby-Doo "experience" that isn't a cartoon. That information comes via an Instagram post, where Lillard also notes that "we need some fans to playtest it."

The link in his bio points to a website, where interested fans can input their information and desire to be part of the "beta experience." At the time of writing, it's still unclear what exactly is being playtested, or what exactly the "beta experience" is related to. For all we know, it could be some online multiplayer experience, or some type of themed digital experience that involves fan input.

The Layers of Fear creator gets too much hate, but that's because it occupies a unique space in the industry.

That said, there's also the possibility that an iconic Scooby-Doo video game could return to the mainstream.
