The Nintendo Switch 2 is getting a substantial price increase in South Korea, Nintendo has confirmed. With the new Nintendo Switch 2 prices, the popular console is increasing in cost by 17% overnight, a reflection of the current hardware situation across the gaming industry.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is Nintendo's latest home console, released in June 2025. As the successor to the original Switch, the console was intended to bridge the power gap between Nintendo's platform and the Xbox and Sony console offerings. As a result, this generation has seen a renewed focus on bringing third-party games to the Nintendo Switch 2, a change in strategy for the company when compared to previous consoles.

Switch 2 has made Mario history, but Nintendo fans probably won't be celebrating this record anytime soon.
