Critic Reviews for EA Sports FC 27
The action in EA Sports FC 27 is enjoyable once again, but the series is still searching for the right balance between innovation and making the core game work the way it should.
EA SPORTS FC 27 puts heavy focus on three key elements including adding an all new mode. The rest of the game remains in tact, but The Grounds sticks.
EA Sports FC 27's new mode, The Grounds, may not be best suited to Switch 2, because it relies on the kind of large online player base the series has struggled to maintain on Nintendo's console (and those who do show up are likely to play Ultimate Team instead).Despite this, everything else remains as enjoyable as ever and on the pitch - where it matters most - it continues to play an excellent game of football. As long as you can get over the fact it runs at 30fps and isn't wildly different from last year's game (The Grounds aside), this is the best football option on Switch 2 at the moment.
This may be too much paper shuffling for those who just want to play, but if you like managing a club through its ups and downs, there's no better game than FC 27.
FC 27 continues to follow a tiresome annual model, but as a game, as a product detached from its annual context, it's not bad at all.

FC27 is a slight improvement to FC26 but even with some of the gameplay changes and the addition of The Grounds, it does not feel like a major evolution. The Grounds is currently quite basic and needs expanding upon, while FUT leans too far towards arcade goalfests, and my personal preference would be to see more of the authentic gameplay style peppered in there.
EA SPORTS FC 27 is what you'd expect from a football title.
