Finding the right "number" for Until Dawn Remake is a complex balancing act. On the one hand we have an adventure that works and is entertaining, on the other a re-release that raises eyebrows quite a bit. Taking into account the quality of the work it is im-possible to go below the sufficiency, but it is equally impossible to go higher, considering that the original version costs less than a third and, in terms of gaming experience, does not have any sub-stantial difference.

EA Sports FC 25 is an interesting (and more importantly, fun) new edition of the EA Sports football saga, with many small tweaks to the pre-existing game modes and two big new features, Rush and FC IQ. In both cases, it can be said that the target was hit, and that the overall quality stands at very good levels. A few bugs and glitches in the menus do not affect a more than enjoyable gaming ex-perience, which promises to keep fans busy for a long time with careers, multiplayer challenges and trading cards...

Improved on the field, with a gameplay that shows signs of an evolution that affects animations, attack and defense, Madden NFL 25 misses the mark when it comes to the game modes offered. Too few differences compared to last season, for an element that instead needs new proposals capable of bringing a burst of innovation that has been missing for too long now.

Speaking in purely numerical terms, MLB The Show 24 could almost be called 23 1/2. The novelties present are more quantitative than qualitative, with a game structure that follows the path of the past edition without the slightest deviation. What has changed is mainly the content, among which the excellent second season dedicated to the Negro League and the section starring Derek Jeter stand out. Not much to report about Road To The Show, Franchise and Diamond Dynasty, which remain on discrete/good levels without the addition of particular extras that impact considerably on the gaming experience. No particular flaws in the technical sector, which would however need some cleaning and global modernization, with particular attention to the players' models.

With no major changes in the game modes, NHL 24 shows some interesting signs of life thanks to some new gameplay features. With convincing graphics and sounds, which manages to immerse the player in the atmosphere of an ice rink, the matches are quite enjoyable, with a good rhythm and a truly well-thought-out renewed control system. There are still some issues, but those who live on bread and hockey will find a way to have fun.

EA SPORTS FC 24 is not a revolution in the football world, but an evolution of what we have seen in past FIFA seasons. A huge amount of game modes and an enjoyable gameplay, albeit with some minor flaws, are a good start for this "debut-non-debut", which promises to keep virtual footballers busy for a long time, be they potential coaches, trading card hunters or street game enthusiasts...

Legend Bowl is a game with some strengths and just as many flaws. Its retro look is exquisite, but the gameplay has some issues that can cause a certain sense of annoyance and frustration.

Despite the excellent work done by FieldSENSE, Madden NFL 24 fails to solve some of the issues that have plagued the EA Sports saga for years. Adding poor menu navigation to predictable game modes and imperfect AI, the final result is a game that has some good moments, but has no chance to win the Superbowl.

With its poor graphics and a lower amount of content than the previous chapter, Farming Simulator 23 raises more than one perplexity. Once you find the right rhythm, you will see some interesting ideas, but the impression is that, with a little more foresight, a more enjoyable simulation could be ob-tained without compromising its "pure and hard" soul.

EA Sports PGA Tour is a game that fails to unleash its full potential. It offers a considerable amount of content and a rather realistic game structure, with some graphical bugs and some ques-tionable choices in the game modes (especially in the Career) that slow down its race to success. This is a good starting point which that could improve along the way.

After repeating the same exact gameplay year after year, MLB The Show 23 finally offers some interest-ing new features in an fresh enjoyable experience, both in old and in new game modes. There's a great atmosphere on the diamond, and there are tons of things to do, games to play, stars to unlock. Some shadows on the online, with a netcode that it's shaky at times.

Speaking in terms of content, NHL 23 seems more like a (modest) update of NHL 22 than a new chapter of the EA Games series. The changes made to the game structure and modes are really limited, and do not affect the overall experience considerably.

After a year off, 2K Sports is back on the golf course with a title that deserves a wide promotion. There is still room for improvement regarding the game modes, while the gameplay is perfect for both the most demanding players and those who want to hit a few balls without having to worry about spending too much time between bunker, rough, and water hazards.

Electronic Arts greets the FIFA brand with an edition that is not perfect, but that still deserves a wide promotion. Wrapped within an aesthetic component that, thanks to HyperMotion 2 technology, convinces in every element, the game structure offers slightly slower games than in the past, with a weakening of the dribbling in favor of a more choral maneuver. There is still room for improvement in terms of gameplay, and some aspects (for example, the behavior of the goalkeepers) need to be adjusted through patches, but overall the games flow in a pleasant and fun way. Well, without major upheavals, the options sector, which as usual offers a range of variants that satisfy anyone, starting from those who want to live an experience of spectacle and lightheartedness up to those who want to manage an entire team.

Madden NFL 22 is like a roller coaster". That's what I wrote last year in my review. 365 days after, I must repeat myself, going from NFL 22 to 23. Madden NFL 23 is a game that can be compared to a roller coaster. You go up with FieldSENSE, you go down with a problematic AI. You go up with new features in almost all game modes, you go down after experiencing bugs and glitches. There are steps forward made since the last videogame, and the direction taken by the developers is the right one, but there is still work to do to reach levels of excellence.

Matchpoint: Tennis Championships shows all its limits after just a few matches. There are some interesting ideas but, considering the poor A.I and the lack of game modes, there is no reason to play this game for more than a few hours.

Yurukill: The Calumniation Games is a game of ups and downs. It's a good visual novel with an interesting story and an intriguing cast, but misses the mark in the puzzle/shoot'em up sections. The end result is a game with no balance, interesting for those looking for a visual novel with an intriguing story, to be avoided by those who want to enjoy an exciting gameplay experience.

The Quarry is a worthy heir to Until Dawn. It's a classic teen horror, with a good amount of high-tension moments and an impressive number of branches that will push the most curious to return multiple times to Hackett's Quarry in search of the truth, dodging death on their own or with a group of friends.

The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story shows us a hundred years of the Shijima clan amidst mysteries, deaths and intrigues. It does so with an interesting story, which works well and which, albeit with some strange events, follows a coherent and understandable plot. Gameplay is simple, with some interesting ideas and a few too many hints that reduce the need to think and to guess what happened. Even with this limitation, it still remains a fun gaming experience, that will bring crime fans on a century-long journey for a considerable number of hours.
