Garry's Mod Receives DMCA Notice From Skibidi Toilet Movie

Last week, it was announced that Michael Bay is working on a Skibidi Toilet movie and TV franchise based on the YouTube show of the same name. If you're out of the loop on this viral Gen Alpha meme, it's a Garry's Mod skit series that uses Half-Life models to tell an over-the-top story, a lot like Full Life Consequences and Idiot Box.

However, in the wake of this new adaptation, Garry's Mod has received a DMCA notice over "unauthorised Skibidi Toilet games". It highlights the Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Titan TV Man, and Skibidi Toilet characters as registered copyrights, specifically demanding that their models must be unpublished from the game immediately.

"Skibidi Toilet guys sent a DMCA too. Serious. Can you believe the cheek?" Gary Newman posted in the s&box Discord server. The models are mashups of different Half-Life assets, mixing characters and props from Valve's iconic FPS series. They are not original to Skibidi Toilet, so this DMCA doesn't exactly hold up.
