Knockout Tour might be the best thing about Mario Kart World, and now, more than a year after the game launched alongside the Switch 2, Nintendo has added new routes to what was previously a very limited roster of options.
Sharing patch notes for Mario Kart World's 1.7.0 update, of the two big additions to the Switch 2 launch game, the biggest are the changes coming to Knockout Tour. Two new routes have been added to the mode - the Drill Rally, and the Boomerang Rally. That brings the total number of routes available in Knockout Tour up to a nice round ten.

Mario Kart World's interconnected courses haven't gone down all that well with longtime fans of the series, with the exception of how they're used in Knockout Tour. The only downside until now has been how few routes there are to race around. With only eight sets of interconnected courses, Knockout Tour quickly starts to feel pretty repetitive, especially when you're playing online and you can't choose which rally to race on next.
