Exodus is being made by some former BioWare devs, so the comparisons to Mass Effect were inevitable. However, we now know at least one of the areas in which the two RPGs will differ: character customisation.
Finally, developer Archetype has gone over the character customisation options that will be available to us. Unfortunately, they are far more limited than most were hoping for, as the devs want Jun Aslan to be more of a set protagonist with a defined appearance.
"This has been a long journey, and along the way, we made a creative decision to build a more defined character," reads a new update from the devs. "Our customisation feature set is focused on curated options rather than a full slider-based character creator. This means Jun will have a more established look, with options including hairstyles, facial hair, hair colour, eye colour, makeup, and tattoos.
"We hope you'll see how it fits into our vision for Jun, while still giving you the flexibility to bring some of your own style to the character."
While it's unclear if the options detailed there are the full extent of what we can play around with, fans are not happy with this...
