In a report from Variety, Netflix is developing a live-action Persona series. As of now, it is unclear whether it will be based on any specific Persona game or be its own new story.
The details are scarce for this to-be-made Persona show on Netflix, but we do know who will be helming the project.
Christopher Monfette is attached to write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner on the series. He started as a writer for places like IGN but then moved on to write in television, starting with the Syfy show 12 Monkeys. He has also written for Star Trek: Picard and 9-1-1.
There will also be a lot of veteran presence in the production company 21 Laps, with Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Robert Atwood serving as executive producers.
21 Laps has been in the industry for some time and have produced many films and television shows. Their biggest television projects include Stranger Things and Last Man Standing, among others. On the film side, they recently helped produce Backrooms and Deadpool & Wolverine.
