As Palestinians in Gaza continue to face attacks from Israel, a small glimmer of hope has emerged from the rubble. In a small building, surrounded by others that have collapsed, is Doctor Game, a new gaming lounge designed to bring joy to those facing hardships.
Muhanad Bakroon lives in Gaza. He lost his home in 2023 and is seeking support through donations to help his family get back on track, including renting a new apartment and purchasing a new laptop so they can resume work. He has been displaced seven times since the war began.
Via his Reddit account, Alternative_Fuel2433, Bakroon has been documenting his and Gaza's plight. He's shared images of families getting water from a community tap and of vendors selling medical equipment from carrier bags on the side of the road. His latest post is a little more uplifting, though.
In the last few hours, Bakroon has shared an image of Doctor Game, a small video game location surrounded by destroyed buildings. Doctor Game is described by Bakroon as a gaming lounge and contains two PS4 consoles with FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer, as well as some PCs specifically for gaming.
