PlayStation has announced that three new games will be added to PS Plus on July 7, next week, from a SNES-style action RPG to one of the newer Call of Duty entries—which is a little odd to see now that it's owned by Xbox, and with the series stepping away from Game Pass going forward.

The headline of next week's new additions is Modern Warfare 3 (2023), the divisive Sledgehammer-developed sequel widely criticized for its campaign, in which Task Force 141 pursues Vladimir Makarov, who seeks to instigate a third World War. Granted, now is the perfect time to dive in—especially now that it's free—since Modern Warfare 4 is launching just later this year.

Radical Fish Games' is bringing its SNES-inspired 2018 sci-fi RPG to the service next week for Essential subscribers, which promises Zelda-esque dungeons and a "massive adventure," spanning seven unique areas with over 120 enemy types, lasting between 30 and 80 hours.
