Don't worry Kingdom Hearts fans, Square Enix is aware that it has a habit of revealing games way too early and is actively "revisiting" its approach to announcements and marketing.

If there's one thing that Kingdom Hearts fans have gotten used to over the past decade or so, it's waiting. Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced all the way back in 2013 and didn't end up releasing until six years later in 2019. Now, history is repeating itself, with Kingdom Hearts 4 already four years past its initial reveal in 2022 and having only received a whopping two trailers.

Of course, this isn't just an issue with Kingdom Hearts, as Square Enix has gotten into a pretty nasty habit of revealing new games in its major franchises far too early. Both Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest are also no strangers to long waits for new entries, but at least it looks like Square Enix has finally realised it has a problem.
