Almost six years on from its release, and three years after the launch of its Phantom Liberty expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 just surpassed 100,000 concurrent players on Steam, the highest its player count the game has been since 2023.
Cyberpunk hit a peak player count of 101,558 on Sunday, according to SteamDB. That's the first time more than 100,000 of you have been playing Cyberpunk on Steam at the same time since October 2023, right after its incredibly well-received Phantom Liberty DLC was released. It's a long way off the one million mark it once hit to make it one of the most played single player games in Steam history, but it's still incredibly impressive and almost unheard of for a non-live service game to be pulling numbers like these so many years after launch.
The 2026 Steam Summer Sale is finally here and hundreds of great games are receiving some of their biggest discounts yet!
The leap to 100k players over the weekend wasn't a sudden one. Cyberpunk's Steam numbers have been on the ascent for the past two weeks or so. Although that can be attributed, in part, to its price being slashed during Steam's summer sale...
