Capcom Is Immediately Jumping On Resident Evil 1 Remake After Veronica, According To An Insider

Resident Evil Requiem launched earlier this year, and it won't be long until we've got Resident Evil Veronica in our hands, as it's set to launch next year. But if this latest rumour is to be believed, Capcom isn't slowing down the Resi releases just yet.

According to reliable leaker Dusk Golem, the long-rumoured Resident Evil 1 Remake is further along in development than expected. In fact, it will be Capcom's focus once Veronica is out the door, meaning it could enter full production as soon as next year.

As spotted by Eurogamer, Dusk Golem made these comments on Twitter. These comments were made when someone asked about the possibility of a Resident Evil 1 Remake.

"It started early production nearly a year ago (I hear last August-September is when it started pre-production)," Dusk Golem says. "It'll probably enter full production after Resident Evil Veronica is finished with its crunch period it's in right now."
